MINISTER
Rev. Janet E. Uren M. Div
I married John Uren CLU CHFC and moved to Brookbank, the Uren family farm in Zorra Township, ON. I was teaching at A. J. Baker Public School, Kintore, ON at the time and I continued teaching here, for the Oxford County Board of Education until the birth of our first son, Jason in 1973 at which time I became a stay at home mom. Our second son, Jeff was born in 1975.
I returned to the classroom as a supply teacher for the Oxford County Board of Education until the two boys were in high school. At that time, I opened a private Nursery School in what was Wildwood Park Public School in our neighbourhood. The school board provided me with a classroom for 2 years.

Concerned for children needing support in their studies I opened ‘The Festival Learning Centre Inc.’ in a newly developing medical building, ‘The Jenny Trout Centre,’ Stratford, ON. I owned and operated this business until I chose to answer a call and applied to seminary at Emmanuel College, Toronto University.

My internship took John and I to Port Coquitlam, B.C. At the end of my internship at Trinity United Church, we returned to Ontario and I completed my last year of studies, graduating from Emmanuel College with a Master of Divinity and I was ordained to the United Church of Canada May 2009 in Windsor, ON.

My placement following ordination was at Corunna United Church, ON. Presently I am happy to continue my faith journey serving Ravenswood United Church, Lambton Shores, ON since 2014.

Kid's
Ministry
Children are always a welcome addition to our church service. When children are in attendance, an age appropriate Bible lesson is provided during the service.
UCW
The UCW continues to support the work of the church. Shut-ins and older members of our congregation receive an Easter lily at Easter and a poinsettia at Christmas time. Also, a suitable gift acknowledges any illnesses at other times during the year. We are very fortunate having Colby Gilliard taking excellent care of our grass cutting needs whenever needed. After the anniversary service, refreshments and fellowship are enjoyed by those in attendance. Our Christmas church dinner is catered by the fair board ladies at the Forest fairgrounds. We look forward to the Christmas music, as well as a time of fellowship..

MINISTRY THROUGH Music
We are blessed to have a small dedicated choir who leads us in the ministry of music each Sunday. We are presently thankful for Ellen Louzon who is playing the clavinova for us.
